Who We Are

MudHeads Pottery was created by Deena and Micah Edwards. Deena is a full-time high school art teacher as well as an entrepreneur. She has an MFA in Illustration and was set on being a painter until she was given the ceramics program 12 years ago. Working with YouTube's wonderful friends and colleagues, she quickly fell in love with clay. During COVID she had a lot of opportunities to grow her business and refine her throwing skills. When the art scene allowed outdoor art festivals to resume, she took her show on the road. Deena participates in local and not-so-local art shows such as; The Woodlands Art Festival, Bayou City, Deep Ellum, Artoberfest, and others as well as the local farmers market in Lake Jackson

Micah has a full-time job as well. He has taken on hand-building as well as the refining of dried and fired pieces along with so many other behind-the-scenes components. Together they work side by side making art hoping it will become their permanent full-time job.
